China unveils 'world's fastest train link'

Yet another grand achievement of Communist China:  China unveils 'world's fastest train link'

Pay special note to the last sentence: "The network uses technology developed in co-operation with foreign firms such as Siemens, Bombardier and Alstom." This is the global economy at work.

Make no mistake, communism is now fully bonded with corporatism. This new creature is a social cancer that has fully metastasized- quietly choking out freedoms throughout the four corners of the world. Really, only two things stand in its way- Religion and the U.S. Constitution.

American Thinker: We're Staying, We're Praying; Get Used to It

"There are three kinds of faith: faith in God, faith in oneself, and faith in life. Think of these as building blocks.
When the United States was founded, the big block on the bottom of the pile was faith in God.

However, something happened through the course of American history: The blocks got restacked, and faith in self, or egocentrism, settled into the first position. Faith in self is very important, but it makes a poor foundation because it is not a perception of perfection. And the ego is shifty, so the other blocks tend to become unstable or fall off. As egocentrism became foundational, the spiritual and moral belief systems of our society turned upside-down. Day became night, dark became light, and the unthinkable became commonplace...

...the First Amendment purified Christianity, opening the way for ordinary people to experience the attainment of the saints of the past: 'Christ is who I am.' That self-identification cannot be coerced. It is, however, subversive to the new power elites, and it kindles persecution. As the new subversives, "God-Firsters" should use social science to protect their children and themselves, demand First Amendment rights, and tell the world, 'We're staying, we're praying; get used to it!'"

Barbara Boxer On Compromise

"You have both sides criticizing it, which means that we did what we had to do, we compromised in a fair way," - Barbara Boxer (in regards to abortion funding in the health care reform bill)

No Barbara- You have both sides criticizing it, that means it's garbage.

My Way News - Abortion deal may be hard to keep in health bill

China’s Century: The Impending Threat to America

“India conquered and dominated China culturally for 20 centuries without ever having to send a single soldier across her border”—Hu Shih, 20th Century scholar.

“It doesn’t matter if it is a black cat or a white cat... As long as it can catch mice, it is a good cat.”—(December 1978) Deng Xiaoping, Mao Zedong's successor.

Why, all of a sudden, do I have a craving for cheese?

A Christmas Story: 1944 - Connelly

The frigid night air cut through the Lieutenant’s army issue coat as he stopped in the knee deep snow to survey the perimeter. A heavy snow continued to fall on this Christmas Eve 1944, but it was not a silent night. The flashes of artillery lit the sky and generated a rumble like distant thunder as the young officer finished his tour of the unit’s outposts. He was an officer in Company B, 87th Chemical Mortar Battalion, the men who fired the big 4.2 mortars which were so critical to the effort of the infantry to advance. They were someplace in Belgium, he really had no clue where, and for the first time in a while the battalion was together again. All four companies had been brought in to help stop the German breakthrough. They didn’t know it, but the 87th was about to be thrown right into the heart of the Battle of the Bulge.

As the Lieutenant finished his rounds he wearily dragged himself into the monastery where the command had taken refuge for the night. The warmth that enveloped him as he entered the large community room was certainly welcomed. He glanced around and saw his comrades sprawled in every available space.

They were bedraggled and exhausted after 201 days of almost continuous combat, and by the looks on their faces you could tell that it was only going to get worse. Despite the thickness of the monastery walls, a new sound intruded, the quick crack of tank gunfire.

Everyone knew what that meant, American tankers were making a last ditch stand against the German armored column in the area. They were outnumbered and outgunned and their Sherman tanks stood no chance against the awesome German Tiger tanks...

Keeping up with science

Sent via email-
New Discovered Element to Be Added to the Periodic Table:

Lawrence Livermore Laboratories has discovered the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.
Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert; however, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second, to take from 4 days to 4 years to complete.

Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2 to 6 years. It does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each re-organization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration.

This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass.

When catalyzed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.
