HU'S YOUR DADDY? - MEDIA MONTAGE

Sadly, it's a headline apparently gaining in popularity.  UPDATE - January 23, 2011:  Article excerpts added.

Hu's your daddy? Not yet. Uncle Sam flexes aging muscle
Even as Hu was engaging Obama, one US Senator discovered (late) that most of the patriotic baubles sold in gift shops in Washington DC, including busts of US Presidents from George Washington to Barack Obama, are made in China (which wasn't exactly breaking news). "It appears that a museum owned by the people of the United States, celebrating the history of the United States, cannot find companies in this country employing American workers that are able to manufacture statues of our founding fathers, or our current president," Senator Bernie Sanders fumed in a letter to the Director of the Smithsonian Museum. "That is pretty pathetic! I was not aware that the collapse of our manufacturing base had gone that far."

Hu's your Daddy?
We owe the communist country almost 1 trillion dollars in debt. On top of that we have a huge imbalance of trade with this country due to many reasons, but chiefly because we compete on an uneven playing field and no one is doing anything about it. The communist country does not have labor laws, as we know them, convict labor and children are used to manufacture cheap products. They also, with impunity, manufacture knock offs of everything ranging from designer hand bags to Ipads, flooding the markets with cheap imitation goods. They put on line a new coal fired energy plant every week, don't dare wear a white shirt while outside in Shanghai and don't even think of sticking your toe in the Huangpu River.

"Hu's" Your Daddy Now?
As the economic imbalances between the two countries have now hit dangerous levels, the United States must halt this growing divergence if they want to maintain the edge as the global superpower before it's too late... The bottom line is that the trading relationship with China is not on a level playing field. The reality is that it never really was, but the United States let it fester and ignored that this issue could someday get out of control, to the point that national economic and global security is threatened.

Hu’s Your Daddy!
Continuing the mantra of “I never met a communist I didn’t like,” the Obama’s welcomed Chinese Dictator Hu Jintau to the White-house with open arms and a formal dinner this week while his Democrat cronies prattled on about China’s currency policies and paid token lip service the country’s human rights violations, all the while warning China that “If they don’t straighten up, we’re going to use some really tough language, Little Mister.”

Hu’s Your Daddy
President Obama, Hu’s your daddy. Note the lack of a question mark. We’re up to our eyeballs in debt to China thanks in no small part to this administration’s irresponsibility, and on the eve of his visit to the US, Chinese premiere Hu Jintao has been busy dissing America while shunning human rights groups, and with the Obama administration’s complicity. Now, we’re throwing a lavish state dinner for Hu, the first for a Chinese leader in 13 years. That “dangerous separatist” the Dalai Lama can’t go homeTibet is not free, Taiwan is still under threat and dissidents remain in prison across China while people of faith face daily oppression, while China backs the dangerous North Korean regime. But we’re throwing Hu a big party.  So — Hu’s your daddy.

Hu's Your Daddy?
Is America really going to allow Hu Jintao (and those like him) to run the world?   Every day, it seems, China (and communist / fascist dictatorships in general) grows wealthier while America grows weaker.

With respect to America's foreign policy, it's hard to understand why so many people seem to lose sight of one simple fact -- Real wealth is based on real assets. Real wealth is not based on the quantity of "official paper" amassed. Real assets equal land, natural resources, industrial resources, distribution chain, technology resources, capable human resources, intelligence, available market and market control.

Similarly, there is a second key fact of which many people seem blind -- Military might is a byproduct of real assets.

Hu's your daddy: China's leader turns tables on debt-laden nations

Chess games are won by those who can think and plan the farthest ahead. China, at least at the moment, appears to have a better sense of how the board is laid out.

Hu's your daddy?
Most Western pundits agreed that Obama's visit to China which wrapped up yesterday was both a PR and political success for the hosts... the trip was billed as “Obama goes to meet America’s bankers,”...

Hu’s Your Daddy
They are beyond pro-choice in China, oh yes, indeed, because one child too many is an abortion, in the first trimester or any later portion, as per the government creed.

Christians are killed, tortured or languishing in jail, but please, don’t bother to tell Yale. That once Christian leaning institution now has a secular intuition and to hell with God, country and all that patriotic and religious rot. It’s hard-core left, and morally bereft, and more interested with making a buck in Chinese stock.

Why not? Yale, Bill Gates and Boeing all say, it’s all “free trade” where laborers earn pennies a day. In China, the workers can’t be fickle, life’s only worth a plug nickel, and the government has the final say. As for China’s now corporate American friends, who only think the bottom line is where it ends, they are proud and happy to have made a good deal. How naïve they are, for not remembering too far, that what China does not buy, it will simply steal.
