With regards to the following blog posting: “The Evil Ways of CNN”.

Mr. Greer,

You have a very logical and well thought out piece here. I found particular interest in your 3 conclusions:

1) CNN reporters and editors lack the knowledge and/or the ability to accurately represent what is happening in Iraq.

2) CNN is misleading the public in order to portray Iraq in as bad of a light as possible.

3) CNN is misleading the public in order to gain popular interest and a larger readership.

In looking at the rest of your piece, it seems that you chose to dismiss conclusions 1 and 2 and focus the rest of your research and data on conclusion 3. I think that dismissing 1 and 2 are a mistake. Further more, I think that the correct conclusion is: “All of the above".

You covered conclusion 3 very well... So I'll leave that be. Now, working backwards, let's look at conclusion 2:

2) CNN is misleading the public in order to portray Iraq in as bad of a light as possible.

With regards to conclusion 2: Please Google the following topic: "liberal media bias".

I know, it's hard to believe at first... After all, I'm a recovered liberal myself. But, when you look into it, the answer is clear: CNN promotes a liberal agenda.

Now, with regards to conclusion 1:

I firmly believe that, due to liberal agenda bias, CNN reporters and editors lack the ability to accurately represent what is happening in Iraq. Good news in Iraq didn't fit the liberal template of the time. Remember all of the Democrats on capital hill? At the time of the article in question, they were all shouting: "Iraq is lost!" and "Bush Failed". They were shouting these things in order to push their agenda and get their people elected.

Unfortunately for the country, with the aid of networks like CNN, it worked.

Note: I am not a fan of George Bush, Bill Clinton or Barack Obama. I am however, a fan of the United States and the United States Constitution.
