On the heels of “cablegate”, the WikiLeaks organization is coming into clear focus. WikiLeaks is part of an elaborate information / disinformation campaign – a PSYOP. The so-called “information” from WikiLeaks is not to be trusted.
Psychological warfare - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psy-ops
Various techniques are used, by any set of groups, and aimed to influence a target audience's value systems, belief systems, emotions, motives, reasoning, or behavior. It is used to induce confessions or reinforce attitudes and behaviors favorable to the originator's objectives, and is sometimes combined with black operations or false flag tactics. Target audiences can be governments, organizations, groups, and individuals.
The U.S. Department of Defense defines psychological warfare as: "The planned use of propaganda and other psychological actions having the primary purpose of influencing the opinions, emotions, attitudes, and behavior of hostile foreign groups in such a way as to support the achievement of national objectives."PSYOPS, like physical weapons, can be good – when used for legitimate defense against “hostile foreign groups”. But when “achievement of national objectives” runs contrary to the will of the American people – well, we have a problem.
In the case of WikiLeaks – one of the related “national objectives” appears to be government seizure of the Internet.

Google and YouTube Censor News - Ban Alex Jones
http://beforeitsnews.com/story/286/623/Google_and_YouTube_Censor_News_-_Ban_Alex_Jones.html
Communist / Fascist factions within our government are seeking public support in favor of an Internet crackdown. And now, with its “extremely dangerous” release of “leaked” United States embassy cables, Wikileaks is poised as an example - an example of a site that deserves to be shut down. The Wikileaks situation is part of a larger plan. It is likely these cables were intentionally leaked as a means to the end.
Citizen suspicions are mounting.
With the Internet in its current state, citizens are able quickly to share information and ideas. This sharing allows us to work together and figure out this kind of thing – a campaign like WikiLeaks. This is exactly the kind of freedom that the establishment is set to quell. The establishment is rapidly losing control of the media, and they desperately want it back. We now find ourselves in the throws of an all out “info war”. It’s a war for control of the Internet – waged between the representative republic (citizens), and would-be federal controllers. People are beginning to wake up to this reality.

One astute message board commenter wrote-
I think these factions are using Soviet style self-infliction tactics. Even John Bolton thinks something is fake about it, at least regarding the diplomat cables. On another note, it looks like a major bank is up next on the smear list. I'm assuming it'll be Wells Fargo since it's a politically right-leaning institution and it fought hard against being forced to take a bailout. It's a gut feeling but it could also be Citi or BoA. We'll see though. It's much bigger than Julian Assange.
The second link in the message board comment is a Forbes article by Andy Greenberg that opens with this paragraph -
Admire him or revile him, WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange is the prophet of a coming age of involuntary transparency, the leader of an organization devoted to divulging the world’s secrets using technology unimagined a generation ago. Over the last year his information insurgency has dumped 76,000 secret Afghan war documents and another trove of 392,000 files from the Iraq war into the public domain–the largest classified military security breaches in history. Sunday, WikiLeaks made the first of 250,000 classified U.S. State Department cables public, offering an unprecedented view of how America’s top diplomats view enemies and friends alike."Prophet of a coming age of involuntary transparency"? Assange is a guy with a web site. The real story here should be about the data - and who is helping Assange - not Assange himself. Without the data and the hosting servers - Assange and WikiLeaks would not be a story at all. Someone has to feed the data, and someone has to run the servers for WikiLeaks to exist. But here is the thing that really doesn't add up - Where does this guy earn his money? It can cost a lot of money to keep a high traffic server up and running. Who is paying for his hosting costs?
The following article sheds some light-
WikiLeaks host linked to Pirate Bay
http://www.3news.co.nz/WikiLeaks-host-link...rticleID=169480
Key excerpts –
A Swedish internet company linked to file-sharing hub The Pirate Bay says it's helping online whistle-blower WikiLeaks release classified documents from servers located in a Stockholm suburb.
Mikael Viborg, the owner of the web hosting company PRQ, on Friday showed The Associated Press the site - the basement of a drab office building - in Solna on the condition that the exact location was not revealed.
The secretive website gives few details about its setup, but says its "servers are distributed over multiple international jurisdictions and do not keep logs. Hence these logs cannot be seized."
Viborg said WikiLeaks has servers outside Sweden, too.
"There are backups," he said. "If one goes down, there are others that take over."
Viborg said he was comfortable revealing the location in Solna because Swedish authorities already know where it is and have not tried to shut down the servers.
"Not so far," Viborg said... when you look at the legal situation it's hard to see that Swedish authorities can tell us to do anything, legally.
"They can ask us to do it out of goodwill, but I can tell you right now that we won't oblige."
Swedish Foreign Ministry spokesman Anders Jorle said the government had not been contacted by the United States about the WikiLeaks servers and had no plans to get involved in the matter. Any decision to intervene would have to be taken by Sweden's justice system, he said.
Sweden's staunch protection of the freedom of expression has made it a sanctuary for websites carrying politically sensitive information.
WikiLeaks recently posted a huge encrypted file named "Insurance" to its website, sparking speculation that those behind the organization may be prepared to release more classified information if authorities interfere with them.
He said PRQ had worked with WikiLeaks since 2008, but always through a Swedish middleman instead of direct contacts. PRQ doesn't own the WikiLeaks servers in Solna, but provides the Internet service, electricity and other services, including restarting the servers when needed, he added. There is also this report that suggests “WikiLeaks site is being hosted on Amazon's ‘hack-proof’ servers right here in Washington”. This was later followed up by mainstream media reports from The Associated Press, CBS and ABC “that Amazon's servers had stopped hosting WikiLeaks”.
Assange is not working alone - he has help and is certainly not a "prophet".
However, fueled by the mainstream media (controlled hype), Assange and WikiLeaks are certainly being built up as much more than they really are. Why?
Who benefits from WikiLeaks?
Who is set up to benefit as this information / disinformation campaign progresses? The answer to this question will lead to a real understanding of the WikiLeaks situation.
In order to determine the answer, let’s begin with the opposite. Who doesn’t benefit? This one is easy – the common citizen. I can't think of a single thing that WikiLeaks has done to benefit me personally - can you?
However, it is possible to recall several things that have come about pursuant to WikiLeaks that have harmed the common man – from the beginning. WikiLeaks first major release "The Iraq War Logs" – included edited military footage of a helicopter assault in Iraq and was launched with a great amount of hype on the AP news wire.
The edited footage was highly deceptive and was apparently set up to foster Anti-American sentiment around the world (itself an initial deception for WikiLeaks to gain credibility in the global arena). The Scholars Stage said of the incident at the time -
WikiLeaks edited and presented this incident in a manner that can be called nothing but blatantly dishonest. The blatant dishonesty harmed the morale of the common man – especially those serving in the U.S. military. This harm is documented in the Kish Collections article – A Tale of Three Videos.
Amazingly, the rebroadcast of this WikiLeaks video has also been cited as the reason cited for the Alex Jones You Tube ban.
Google and YouTube Censor News - Ban Alex Jones
http://jnkish.blogspot.com/2010/11/google-and-youtube-censor-news-ban-alex.html
This ban is on course to restrict dissemination of information from the alternative news media – censorship. This restriction of freedom is again - harm to the common man. Each release of WikiLeaks “information” tends to lead to more establishment media control – and thus serves to answer the general question as to who benefits.
The Key Message -
No benefit = No value = Distraction
Don't waste your time on the WikiLeaks “information”. The WikiLeaks PSYOP campaign is part of the larger plan to seize control of free speech on the Internet and in the media. It’s part of the global war on free speech. It's a trap!
Please - focus instead on exposing the real people behind the WikiLeaks organization.
Parting notes and thoughts –
Wayne Madsen was interviewed on the 11/30/2010 Alex Jones Show – he suggested the possibility of a WikiLeaks connection to George Soros.
The WikiLeaks information is now being presented as true by the mainstream media even without a verifiable source – this is the real danger.

Why does WikiLeaks need a board of directors? Who serves (has served) on WikiLeaks board of directors? How much does it pay to serve on the board of WikiLeaks?
Who is funding WikiLeaks? Follow the money.

If there really is a war on free speech, I suggest it can't be won by the little people. Best to mind your p's and q's and hunker down in the root cellar - thar's a twister on the horizon.

Thanks Blacksmith. I wasn't aware of Naomi Wolf. I've added a compilation of her information here -

I have to disagree with you on one point though - the war on free speech will HAVE to be won by the little people. The battle is on right now.
